Dopo ottenuta la maturità presso il Liceo Classico Properzio di Assisi, si è laureato in Medicina e Chirurgia presso l’Università degli Studi di Perugia con il massimo dei voti e lode. Ha conseguito il Phylosophy Doctor ( PhD) in the Faculty of Medicine dell’Università di Glasgow (Gran Bretagna); ha superato l’esame del ECFMG (Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates) che equivale alla Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia per Gli Stati Uniti d’America.
Ha lavorato sia nel campo della ricerca che in quello della pratica clinica e ha prestatoservizio come dipendente in varie istituzioni universitarie soprattutto straniere, cone qui dettagliato in ordine cronologico:
